The Lofts

Being living in this building for 5 years, I am happy with the building facilities like swimming pools (2 nos), gym, movie theatre and etc. The location is great as walking distance to Metro Station and Dubai Mall. Neighbours are great too by mixed nationalities. However, the traffic is not that great, when you exit from the building to SZR, you will pass at least 8 traffic lights, which means it will takes approximate 20mins to get out of the downtown area if NO traffic. The downside of the apartment furnishing is the water heater, your toilet will be floated if not switch off after used, the AC control is not that great (fixed temperature) no matter how you try to adjust the temperature. The most annoying thing is the visitors of both restaurants downstairs, the uncivilized behaviour of the restaurant visitors constantly blocking the entrance and exit of the building, illegally parking inside and outside the building. Conclusion, if you have car, there are many choices in downtown area with similar facilities. If you have no car, this building is suitable for you.

It is all in the title. When I was a bachelor it was one of the finest places I could ever dream of living in. That was because my needs as a single person were different. After getting married, what I used to feel heaven became such a horrible place. To name some, the space is too small for a couple. Going to the grocery shop became a daily hustle as you need to go all the way down to the basement take your car... exit... find a parking etc. Also lots of events take place in the downtown through out the year, and the traffic will be blocked period. Without mentioning that daily you need at least 20 minutes to wait at the traffic lights because of the many coffee shops, the Dubai Mall... etc. Bottom line: If you are a single, you'll enjoy it. If you have kids... don't even think about it.

This is part of a 3 building block called the Loft Towers. I'm on the west building which has been next to a construction site since the day we moved in! I was told there will be no construction in the night-time which was a blatant lie and the noise was horrendous for the first 6 months! Now it's on and off in the middle of the night and end isn't near. Aside from the the construction, the Lofts is located within a 10 minute walk to the metro and next to tons of restaurants, cafe, parks and Dubai Mall/Burj Khalifa. Is it worth the money - not really but since we also own a dog it is a great neighborhood to live in. Those moving here should be weary of the construction and try to get a better deal. Security is very good but maintenance depends on your landlord or if you wish to dish the money out as internal problems will not be solved by the main building crew. Living conditions are very good overall in a centrally located neighborhood. We also have 2 big outdoor pools, squash courts and a well-kept gym.

We have been living in the apartment only for couple of months but we really enjoy it. Great location, very close to metro, restaurants, walking distance to Dubai mall. Could have small supermarket below the towers. Occasional noise from Opera construction site at night.

The location of this building is brilliant, with tons of restaurants on the boulevard and even Dubai Mall in walking distance. My apartment had a pretty straightforward layout, with nice finishing and quality appliances. Only downside was the missing Burj Khalifa view as the apartment had a back view.
