Positives
The size is big for a studio. Can easily turn into a one bedroom.
Negatives
Too many cockroaches.
The studio itself is quite large and well finished. The previous owner used to stuff hair down the sink i'm guessing cuz the water still doesn't go away easily, after using every kind of sink opening product I could find. There are some cockroaches lying around every now and then more… but on the overall, it's a good house. There's the usual authentic food smells in the corridors but once you're in the house, do whatever you want from sprinkling curry on the floor to using a CK perfume for an odor dispenser.Show less

Positives
Community environment
Negatives
The construction work
Having moved to Jumeriah Village Circle 4 years ago when all around was dust, I have certainly seen a village grow before my eyes. Now there are community parks being built with running tracks and lustious greenery growing around. Amazing what has been accomplished in this time. It remains more… very much a family friendly community with great neighbours. We have recently joined a JVC forum too so you can meet new people which is great especially for new families. Every evening me along with my husband and kids take a walk with our dog around the circle and often we see new parks, new people with dogs and watching the amazing sunset fall behind the marina is by far the best view. Our home is a 3 story townhouse with modern finishing touches, the bedrooms are spacious and a lovely open plan living space, great for entertaining.Show less

Positives
The tranquility.
Negatives
Lack of public transport.
Jumeirah Village Circle offers affordable living in Dubai. Clean, spacious accommodation and extremely helpful concierge in Cappadocia. Whilst you currently need your own transport here, improvements are being made and more facilities are being introduced. It is a quiet and pleasant neighbourhood which I would thoroughly recommend.

Positives
I like that there are lots of friendly people, I have met while walking my dog in the park. I like that there are restaurants within walking distance, and grocery shops.
Negatives
I left the Palm. Enough said. Construction, and its SANDY.
When property prices shot up, remaining in our three bed apt on Palm Jumeriah was just silly. I was determined to find a property in our housing provided budget- it was not an easy task. Wanting to remain on "this side" of Dubai, and close to our children's more… school- American School of Dubai. A realtor had to really convince me to even have a look at the "unfinished" Jumeriah Village Circle. I had seen it from Hessa, but couldn't even figure out how to get into the circle. The first viewing of the townhouse- I was SOLD. PERFECT. Great layout, and nice neutral finishing- very favorable to my American sense of style. I just wished that I could pick up the house, and put it into another location. The townhouse is NOT Huge, but big enough for our small family of 4- we do not have a live-in maid. The townhouse was brand new when we moved in, and that was also a HUGE draw for me. There is a decent sized living area, and dining area downstairs. A walk through from the foyer into the guest bath- and a laundry room AND a maids room (though it is tiny and I can't imagine someone actually living in it). We use this room as storage for our suitcases, and have our dryer in there, and hang laundry. It's convenient for us. Upstairs is a huge landing- which my neighbors have walled off to create a third bedroom. We used it as a game room for the kids- TV with video games, and even have a corner as a home office. Two spacious bedrooms- one for the kids- with two twin sized beds, and the other holds our American sized KING bed just perfect. Only complaint- as usual for Dubai- is closet space is inadequate. But, we are managing. Show less
