Wonderful construction (good quality building material used, in comparison to some other properties we have lived before). We love living in this society, wish we had better infrastructure.

Location, Construction Site, Subletting apartments, Garbage Odour Hallways, Dog Barking 24/7
This building has gone from good to really bad. The management at first took care of the building but eventually gave up. Garbage Chute Doors can't close due to the one time a week garbage pick up causing odours in the hall ways. There are now several one bedroom/studio apartments more… home to a whole family of 5-10 people. The AC vents are connected among several apartments. Therefore when a neighbour decides to cook or light his daily evening cigarette, expect your apartment to stink up too. Being a Pet Friendly Building all night dog barking comes with the package. The building is situated in a construction zone area which works 24/7 so banging, drilling and trucks are right outside your door. Don't bother calling the contractors they don't speak English, Arabic or possibly anything. Show less

The Villas in JVC are great value for money, good size with gardens. The one beds have a landing area which can be used as a guest room which is a bonus. The bedrooms are very spacious and the kitchen and living room area is a good size. The cooker more… is powered by gas. Although JVC is still pretty much a construction site it is coming along nicely and shops and parks are spouting up. You are away from the Marina and SZR traffic but it only takes 20 mins to get to Media City.Show less

I pretty much like it, it is still a new area so its quiet, clean, and there is no traffic, however there are nearby shops and you should have a car, if not, the taxi is the only way out of there... They should do something about the view in more… front of the building, copula of trees would be just fine :) And the swimming pool is stupid, good size but half of your body will be out of the water while sitting :/ Overall its good value for money and it can be improved by time. JVC is a pretty good community with great potential. If I have to name my top 3 annoyances it would be: 1 ) - Bad road layout, dodgy one-way systems, bad intersections with lack of road signs hence accidents on a daily basis and allot of speeding cars. Roundabouts are badly more… built and lots of rubbish in the roads. There are also only 2 exits both on Al Khail road. Need entrance from Hessa street to allow easier access. 2 ) - Lots of sand. The parks are still being built but also very very slowly, hence lots of sand everywhere! 3 ) - Lack of restaurants / larger shops.Show less

Positives
Mirabella Townhouse - very spacious, lovely finishing, creative layout, small and easy to maintain garden, huge maids room and three large bedrooms.
Negatives
Construction, empty sandy plots of land, lack of good restaurants and shops.
We have been in Mirabella for a year. We love how large it is and the price per square foot is unmatched in Dubai. We used to live in Mirdif which was very noisy due to the airport being close by. We find JVC very calm and more… quiet in comparison. The layout of Mirabella is wonderful for our lifestyle. My husband and I are fit conscious and therefore enjoy walking up and down stairs every day. We also have two very energetic dogs who love running up and down the stairs all day long. Mirabella is not good for people with knee problems, people who struggle with stairs or sedimentary house dwellers. The community cons include vast amounts of construction to be completed in JVC and the lack of quality restaurants and shops. There are however plans for malls etc for JVC in the future. The community pros is that the area is quiet and there are good running tracks in the (nearly) established parks. JVC is very close to Motor City, Dubai Marina, JLT and Mall of the Emirates. You must have a car to live here - as with most places in Dubai. JVC looks like an up and coming location. New palm trees are being planted absolutely everywhere. I can't wait to see what it looks like when it is completed! Show less

Positives
Very spacious townhouses
Negatives
The fact that the area is still being developed
Very nice townhouses, mostly when you are at the end of the block, as there is a lot more windows. The townhouses are built over many floors - that means loads of staircases that give a very charming atmosphere to the place. Small gardens in the front - a lot more… bigger at the end of the blocks. The only issue is that JVC is still far from being finished. The result is that one never knows when they are going to break ground next door... The area does not have - yet - enough restaurants but has a few shops. This said, Dubai Marina is 20 minutes away and the MoE about 15 minutes away. Show less

Only 2 entry and exit gates and both are on Al Khail Road!!
Living in JVC is really quite nice, specially with the new parks the developer has started building all over the village. There is one in walking distance to almost all the buildings and villas. It is purely a residential area with some shops catering purely to the residents needs i.e., more… supermarkets, laundry, beauty salons, restaurants etc. My main concern and I am sure it is shared by lot of residents here, is there are only 2 entries and exit points. Both are next to each other on Al Khail Road. JVC is one huge circle and the only way one can get in or out is thru these 2 gates. Even if your building is on the opposite side like on Sh Mohd Bin Zayed and you want to go to Sh Mohd Bin Zayed, you need to go to one of the Al Khail gates then make your way to SMBZ Road! Show less

On a perfect day without any traffic you're a mere 5-8 minutes from Motor City and the ELS Club, 15 minutes from the Marina, Dubai Mall and Mall of the Emirates. more… There are a few parks with great running tracks and the JVC community as a whole is up and coming. My flat was in a gorgeous compound filled with young professionals in their late twenties and early thirties, some with kids, and some without. Many had dogs and cats which gave it a real community feel. The best part is that there was always plenty of parking for friends and guests.Show less

Management
The apartments and balconies are of a good size and nice layouts. The provision of plug points is very low with not enough locations either in the living room or in the kitchen. Only gas cookers are allowed and must be connected to the provided gas pipe service, no allocation more… for electric cookers has been provided so if you try to use one the electric will trip. The pool area is of a good size and looks very nice, however the pool is not temperature controlled and the level of chlorine is so high that even after a shower it can still be smelt on swimming clothes. The building is fairly clean and is new with apartments having been handed over only in March of 2014, however the maintenance taking place is very little so it would be expected that the quality will go downhill quickly. The current building is only half of the full project so there is a construction site on the other side of the pool which means noise and disruption for at least two years. The building has central water heaters rather than heaters in each apartment and these are controlled by the building. They are constantly being turned off to save the building money which means half of the day the water supply is lukewarm at best and not hot enough to take a shower, wash dishes hygenically or to wash clothes. Lack of community feel, roads, build quality
We moved here in August and are regretting our decision. While there are some positives, we do not feel like we're getting value for our money. 1. The community: JVC is still very much a building site. It's dusty with very little greenery, ugly construction fences are everywhere (and most are more… falling down), and sand is not removed from the roads. The roads are falling apart, and there are countless intersections with NO STOP SIGNS! What?! How is that even allowed? People drive like muppets and accidents are extremely common. There is absolutely no security anywhere, and brochures pile up on my doorstep and massage cards on my car. Every time I leave my house I have workers staring at me, which makes me feel very uncomfortable. People across the street have a dog which yaps incessantly at all hours which means nobody on our street gets any sleep. Although there is designated street parking, people ditch their cars wherever they see fit which is an eyesore and causes accessibility issues. 2. The villa: The villa is a decent size (about 1,800 sq. ft.) with a pretty good layout. It's got a tiny garden out front and a small garage out back. Although the building is fairly new, the finishes are extremely outdated and VERY cheap. Build quality is horrific. Our first week in the place we had a power surge which knocked out all our appliances (we had to replace all the fuses), no water for 2 days (because the water pump was knocked out), the garage door stopped working, and we had a flood in the laundry room. We had to rearrange our furniture in the master bedroom because the floor is not level. The floor tiles are heavily marked (the only previous tenant was only there for 1 year). We had to put foam around the front door because of a huge gap between the door and the frame. Our upstairs AC barely worked when we moved in, and we found out it was because there was a huge gap between the compressor and the wall! The kitchen layout is terrible, and the sink is tiny and barely accessible. 3. Location: great - very central and not much traffic to contend with. If only they'd give us more exits... We feel very fortunate to have excellent landlords who have been extremely helpful with all of our issues. We'd love to keep them as landlords but just can't stomach the thought of staying in this place beyond one year. Show less
We moved here in August and are regretting our decision. While there are some positives, we do not feel like we're getting value for our money. 1. The community: JVC is still very much a building site. It's dusty with very little greenery, ugly construction fences are everywhere (and most are falling down), and sand is not removed from the roads. Positives
The size and space.
Negatives
Everything!
We have been living in Indigo Ville 4 for 9 months now and we are so disappointed with the villa we will be moving at the end of our tenancy. The build quality is appalling, in 9 months we've had constant leaks, electrical problems, gas hob which is built in more… keeps breaking, water quality issues, water pump failing on a weekly basis, excessively high DEWA bills, the list is endless.......... Don't be taken in by the modern finish and spaciousness, the stress and hassle of the problems you will face is not worth it! Show less

Construction sites in front and behind
Amongst construction sites this townhouse offers a good layout, many balconies and a spacious roof terrace. The design is modern and light, the kitchen however is dark. 3 bedroom each with their own walk in closet and balcony. The front has a mini garden. Finishing is poor- but there is worse more… in Dubai. Gyms or a Pool are not available, however there is a running track around the corner. Show less

Positives
The brand new apartment
Negatives
Way too sandy!
If you are single, or a couple without children, then JVC Seasons Community is a great place to be. It is good value for money and the apartments are decent sized with balconies. The facilities are up to good standard, however, the swimming pool is not cooled and too hot more… to swim in! There are a few shops that deliver and most take out places also deliver. Al khail Road is very quick to get to most destinations and there is hardly any traffic. Unfortunetely it is a very sandy area, balconies to get dirty quickly and there is no view as of yet. Once there is more greenery and parks Im sure it will become a much nicer place to live. Show less

Positives
Spaciousness
Negatives
Lack of nearby amenities
The layout of the 2 bedroom flats in JVC-Manhattan are amazing. Many flats feel like a flat, but this one feels like a home. I especially love the spacious and well designed kitchen. One of the highlights of living in JVC is that it isn't crowded (yet) so although there more… aren't a lot of sidewalks, the roads are still safe for walking/ jogging/ cycling. Plus, since its a large neighborhood you can take long walks without getting bored.Show less
