Sports City is an excellent neighbourhood, perfect location, no traffic.
Elite 3 Residence is a very nice building, excellent apartments, security, amazing health care centre including men and women gym, men and women sauna and steam, swimming pool, swimming pool for kids and jacuzzi.
It also has a big parking lot (7 floors) and 6 elevators for fast reach.

No hot water
Aircon throughout the building isn't great, it doesn't like to go down below 22 degrees, if you're lucky and on a good night you may get 20-21. The hot water in the flat last for all of 4 minutes before it runs out due to small tanks. It is what it is, cheap and cheerful, but look around can get better value for money than here. Clearly built on the cheap.
Positive, the higher up you go you get a great view over Els Golf Club.

Isolated building
I paid 50,000aed a year which is not too bad although Sports City is an isolated area. Not even a store in sight. You need to have a car to enjoy living here.
Maintenance is free and is good but the jaccuzzi next to the swimming pool is always broken.
Neighbours are young and nice.
Overall its a good place to live if you are on a budget but a car is a must.

Positives
Peaceful area, good size apartment with easy access to E311
Negatives
Availability of cafes at walking distance, taxi & cleaner services
The apartment has a very nice layout with open kitchen, though little small kitchen area.
Few positive points:
1. Very conveniently located in Sports city, connected to E311 direct
2. Parking is never an issue since every apartment has fixed parking however for now the card secured entry is not activated
3. Health club has open swimming pool, with kids pool, Jacuzzi, Steam & Sauna with gym (nevertheless to mention that gym, Steam Sauna is separate for men / women)
4. There is always a guard around the swimming pool giving confidence to families for kids going alone to pool
5. Very neatly maintained for cleanliness by team in building, never seen any issue with lift/ cleaning however slowness in health club repairs is challenge
6. Security perspective there is always a helpful guard and around 70+ security cameras are deployed in this 16 floor building (incl Health club floor)
7. Fixed gas charges
8. The furniture provided by developer originally was good in terms of quality and can be re-used by most of new-moving in tenants
Some of concerns which may not be positive:
1. Availability of the cleaners is an issue, since most of cleaning companies don't provide service in this area (this applies to complete area itself)
2. We have seen slowness from maintenance for health club area, it takes few weeks to months for replacing faulty machines & jacuzzi
3. Getting taxi may be a challenge if you like to have instant taxi; option of calling RTA and getting cab is always option
4. The district cooling service is very good in terms of cooling however its a bit expensive
5. There is no nearby green park which can be used by elderly couple/ kids however very open walking area is there
I have been staying here for past 2 years and have never faced any challenges (by god's grace).
Any new tenant who likes to move in this area should consider below:
1. Emicool (district cooling contract to be cleared from previous tenant) and register new contract in your name
2. DEWA should be cleared from previous tenant
3. New connection from gas provider Lootah BC gas should be done

Positives
The Finishing and Layout
Negatives
The size
The developer is known in the property industry and have expertise in this field. Their all projects have met the international standard of housing. The finishing, the lay out , maintenance and all other amenities are of high grade. The only minus point is the size of the one bedroom apartment. They have two bedroom flats in pretty good size but when it comes to the single bedroom flat , the size is a bit small unless you have a small family.
It is a G+21 residential tower with appealing looks, modern concept and functional design. Studio & 1 bedroom apartments , they are Fully Furnished apartments.
Fully equipped kitchen with appliances included like: Refrigerator, Washing Machine, Microwave. It has Covered car parking, a swimming Pool, a health club, steam and sauna, gymnasium, B.B.Q. area for residents.
The view is superb on both the sides. The canal is yet to start but still looks better when you see outside. The material used in construction is of very good quality. I didn't have any complain except light fixtures which were resolved within a day. The furniture and appliances provided are still in pretty good condition even after two years of use. The DEWA bill is under control. Centralized Cooling system is working fine. There are no such issues living here which are mentionable.
The community is pretty good and having lots of free space. The traffic is less hence the atmosphere is fresh and free. Walking paths yet to be construct fully but you get lots of space while walking due to less crowded roads. School is nearby but there is a need to have a good nursery for younger children and a hospital for any emergency. The area is still developing and many store and supermarkets are under construction. But you can order anything on phone and the delivery time is not more than 30 minutes.
The future of the area is bright and it will attract more and more residence in near future.
Over all the Elite Sport Residence is a place to live and enjoy the life without any worries.

Great layout and good size for a 1 bedroom. Provided furniture is far from high-end, but usable. The gym and pool area is really great.
Elite 2 is one of the older Elites but I think it has the best location, because it's literally one minute from the direct entry/exit to SMBZ road. The open stadium view is also a plus, although can be noisy when a game is on.

People living there and the maintenance team and the clean area
Negatives
Increase in rent
My flat is fine, but every year there is increase in rent but our salaries are same from last 2 years. For this we are facing so much problem. Normal people working in private companies suffers due to increase in rent.
Rest there we also feel that we should have park or a garden in between the buildings. They are just constructing buildings everywhere there is no space they are keeping to build a park where we can do jogging or sit and relax. If it continuous like this we will not even get sun rays in our building.
So, its a request that we need some park or garden in our area.

Positives
The price
Negatives
The fact that there is litteraly no shop around.
Elite 5 is a brand new building in Sports city.
I used to live in a studio in Elite 6 , and when the time came for me to renew my contract, I decided to go for a 1 bedroom in Elite 5.
I can currently say it was a wise choice.
Fortunately the landlord/agent agreed to remove their furniture (I still paid for fully furnished). I have a problem with the Elite furniture that is generally super ugly and uncomfortable and not suited for these small spaces. For example, in the studio they had a Queen sized bed. The bed alone covered the whole flat... The sofa was so uncomfortable, I couldn't sit on it for more than 30 minutes.
That said, I must admit Elite offers awesome machines in terms of Microwave, Gas Stove , washing machine and fridge.
So I removed all their furniture and bought my own .
The building is very nice, the security guards are very helpful, the neighbours are sweet as well, smile and greet you in the elevator.
Parking spaces are ample but the bridge to go up is a bit narrow so you need to be a good driver.
Maintenance guys are really good and can take care of your problems well, but you need to wait a bit for them to come over.
There is nothing around so if you're not mobile, you need to walk for about 15 minutes to reach the nearest grocer. There is a bus stop right behind Elite 5 so that's good at least.
Sports City is quiet and chill, and most importantly, cheap .
If you don't want to pay the hefty prices of Marina , JBR and/or JLT , and work in the area, then why not rent these brand new flats (I think Sports City is only 2 years old or so).

Although Sports City is a very nice place to live in, in terms of buildings and demographics, however it is still new, unfortunately there are no shops, no restaurants....literally nothing, but everything will be available in a year. Nonetheless, Motor City is 10 minutes away (by car) where everything is available, and for a new residence, Elite is considered pretty cheap, u can rent a fully furnished apartment for 50 K.

100 sqm balcony (only on floor 1) which we use as a garden and have bbq parties for upto 50 people
Negatives
No walking possibilities, no amenities, ugly furniture
All flats come fully furnished but it's not the type/style of furniture you'd buy if you'd be choosing it yourself (old fashioned, rather ugly looking). All appliances are supplied too but no oven or dish washer (and no space to fit them in even if you want to). All apartments in all elite residences have exactly the same furniture and appliances. We started seeing crack on the walls, although the building was completed only in 2013. No pets allowed, nowhere to walk to (no pavements) and not a single shop/restaurant within a walking distance.

Nowhere to walk at the moment
Great place for Expats to start off, mainly for couples and singles, not very child- friendly. Currently Sports City is in construction phase with limited walking pavement however the plan for sports city once complete will be fantastic. Good public transportation buses that take you to central metro station, also taxi's available non-stop.
Only downfall for me is that all apartments look identical, however the size and layout is good.
We opted for furnished as it was a new-build and worked out great value for money however the couch is very cheap and uncomfortable.
This is an upcoming place and will be great to live in soon!

Positives
The furnished and well made interior of the studio
Negatives
No grocery downstairs for a quick bread
Elite residence is a good place to stay for those singles who work around marina / media city etc. It takes about 1 hr 10 mins to Abu Dhabi from here. Fully furnished with free gym, sauna, steam and swimming pool access in the building. Prompt management specially if there are any leakages or problems in the room. Ample parking space including for guests.
All rooms are fully furnished with queen sized bed, dressing table, sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs, washing machine, microwave, refrigerator, cooking stove and some decoration items. There is a lovely connected balcony too. If you are too noisy, the walls/doors are thin enough for the neighbours to hear you so also preferable to keep the noise and music level low. Cooking is done via pre-connected gas supply from the building which you will have to pay extra per month of course. Internet connection is via Du supplier. Airconditioning is billed as Emicool bill, and is separate from the Dewa bill.
There are however, no grocery store downstairs so the nearest place to purchase anything would be in motor city which is 10 mins drive from Elite residence. You can, however, make call to the grocery for home delivery which would take roughly 40mins. There are small restaurants in sports city, but most proper fast food/ other dining options are in Motor City.
Overall, it is a safe and friendly place to live in as most of the residents are working class professionals of various nationalities including westerners, arabs and sub-continental residents.

Negatives
No Metro Station nearby.
It is true that it has been just 9 months since I have lived here but it is now my home and I love it here. It has all the basic needs to live a peaceful life but there are some issues which do not pertain to the building but to its surroundings. Like there is no metro station nearby and also in the Sports area, there are no restaurants and shops. You have to go the Motor City nearby and it is only easy when you own a car. Also when there is a match in the stadium, the roads do get jammed up. Otherwise the area is peaceful and the neighboring buildings are quite. Also the location is quite ideal as it links with the highway because of which Mall of the Emirates, JBR and much alike areas are nearer to reach.

Its perfect for me!
When I first moved in here a year back, I thought it was very away from the main city and there were many vacant apartments. But, now I feel it is the perfect place to be for a single person or young couples.
The STUDIO apartment looks very new and has everything furnished. It is very spacious and has a big balcony. I could fit in all my stuff in proper racks and cabinets. There is no noise pollution except when there are concerts or events happening at the cricket stadium or at the autodrome. But I love all the buzz. It is a perfect place to host friends for parties/get togethers as there are ample parking spaces in the building and very secured. I can call for home delivery from the food joints in Motor City.
I never face traffic getting in and out from here except for few days during any events at the cricket stadium. I can easily take the Al Khail/Sheikh Zayed/ Mohammad Bin Rashid Road to reach the city in 15-20 minutes by car. Cabs are also easily available to take anyone to the Dubai Internet City metro station.
Overall, its the perfect location and a lovely apartment with a great view of the cricket stadium. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else!

Elite 6 is a nice building with plenty of parking. It also has a lot of elevators, so you don't wait long for one. The area is is still under construction, and there are 2 apartment buildings going up behind my flat. Soon enough I won't have a view of the Els's golf course. It is a convenient locations to go shopping in Motor City, but there are no supermarkets or restaurants/bars in Sport City.

Negatives
The lack of shops and restaurants
I lived in Elite Residence 2 for the last 8 months, and all-in-all I am very satisfied with the building and my studio.
The building is well maintained, the finishings are good, and the pool and gym area on the roof is nice and well equipped. The building has many parking levels, and usually even guests can use the spaces. Traffic is good in the area, except for cricket events when its impossible to get in and out.
My studio is at the end of the building, facing the cricket stadium, with no buildings blocking the view. I believe all of the apartments come fully furnished, which I found convenient as I just moved to Dubai when rented the place. I had no problem with any appliance or furniture, but of course they are not luxurious or anything.
My only problem is that are no supermarkets and restaurants in the area, so you have to drive to Motor City to get anything. Although its just a 3 minute drive, it would be nice to have at least a supermarket for the daily shopping.

Moved in a year ago, it was quiet and cool, the agent told us that no construction expected and nothing is happening with the empty lands around. 2 month later one of the constructions started. Every day 3-4am in the morning, no chance to sleep. Later another 2 construction started, now the noise is 24/7(!!)
One of the buildings nearby has a mosque which is very close to the building.
The walls quality is very poor, you can't hang a picture on it, the toilet seats broke after few weeks. The furnished apartments beds and couches are very uncomfortable...
Parking is good, and I liked the pool. I do not recommend it especially with its prices nowadays.

Positives
View, gym and pool
Negatives
No supermarket, many constructions
We lived in Elite residence 4 in 2013 with my husband, and we found it a good option for a reasonably priced 1 bedroom.
The building was brand new at that time, it was well maintained, and the gym-pool area on the roof was large and well equipped. The apartment's layout was ideal for us, and we had an amazing golf course view from the balcony. Other Elite buildings have different views, but Elite 4 is right next to Victory Heights.
I think Sports City will be a really nice area in the near future but it still needs development, most importantly a supermarket. There are many buildings under construction, which can make the area a bit noisy and dusty sometimes. But traffic is OK, as it takes about 3 minutes from the building to the Hessa street flyover on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid road.
Could recommend to anyone, who wants a nice apartment for a good price, and doesn't mind driving everyday.
