Positives
Location, view & maintenance
Negatives
The a/c compressor unit on GF could be a bit too loud for lower floors
The developer's core biz is property leasing, this is among the few (if not only) property sold to private owners i.e. they are very well verse in sourcing decent maintenance which is clearly reflected in Al Waleed Paradise. I say the building is pretty well maintain for AED11psf per annum. more… This is among the few buildings with its own a/c system i.e. not subjected to extortion of chilled water bill from utilities. Metro station 4mins walking distance while the only park in JLT is right downstairs. Flat with park view is highly recommended, it's very quiet compare to SZR view and I love waking up every morning with a luscious green view.Show less

Not modern enough
I lived in many different areas of Dubai before moving to JLT: Business Bay, Dubai Marina and JBR. In all honesty, if you are looking for value for money, walking distance to the metro, close to the buzz but far enough away to enjoy the peace and an area to more… exercise or walk your dog, you have a winner. In addition, three new restaurants opened late last year/early this year and you are spoilt for choice on where to grab a coffee and cake :) Granted the building is not the most modern however it is safe, secure and there is a maintenance team available should you require any immediate assistance. The pool has views of the marina skyline, lovely for sunset, with Burj Al Arab in the distance and the gym is not bad. Small? Yes but offering 6 cardio machines and some free weights, what more do you expect for a free gym?! Show less

Noisey AC
Close to the metro station (marina), the view over SZR and the lake is nice. The windows keep out the noise of the traffic well. The studio is well sized with the kitchen separate from the rest of the apartment. The area around is lovely, with a jogging track not more… far and for those with families the play park is just in the greasy area below. There is a 24/7 supermarket in the building which offers delivery. The only down side to this apartment that I have found so far, is the AC is noisy (however you do get used to it) and the pool area could be a little nicer. For the price I paid, I am happy.Show less

Parking
A/C units located on the balcony are quite loud; only one parking provided for 3 bedrooms apartment and free spaces for other cars are limited, maintenance and security are not very professional with tenants and with keeping the lobby entrance cleanly maintained.

Positives
Relatively big swimming pool.
Negatives
The smell and the neighbours.
Almost all of the building full of "cooking" smell and the AC system was not functioning well most of the time.

When leaving jlt by car you need to take a complete trip of all clusters, access to SZR is not immediate
peaceful area, not that crowded with people, you have all available and just walking distant from Marina parking is free and always available
