I've been to so many living places in Dubai, motor city being one of the best... New bridge hill is very spacious with large balaconies like fox Hill but with the advantage of being of quiet, direct exit to um Sequim road with avaliable guest parking.. View from my apt is amazing.. Walk in afternoon in the community is amazing.. Motor city in very accessible and I a strategic location

Positives
The garden and environment
Negatives
Lack of diverse shops in the area
Very nice gardens and unique to Dubai. Most people here are very friendly. There is a strong community feel and easy access to major roads in the city.

The thin walls and bad maintenance
Been here for 9 months. Location is great, taxis show up when called, you can walk to the shops, lots of pools. Traffic is only bad trying to get to Spinneys, rather walk.
Down side: The walls are paper thin, if not thinner. I hear the kids next door cry every morning, the dad talking to them, dog barking upstairs, other neighbour slamming doors. Playground/ open area in front of the building is super noisy 3-6pm, for me working non regular hours, a problem if you need to sleep for a night shift. In spite of notices everywhere to prevent fires, my balcony still gets decorated with cigarette butts from people on higher floors. In the parking lot, people literally throw rubbish out the car doors, expecting someone to pick up. Fittings are not good quality, already had a flooded apartment due to a weak connection behind the sink. This flooded my apartment, the apartments 2 floors below me and the electrical room of the building. So beware if someone above you has a flood. This is due to the "fake" inner walls of the apartments.
Emicool and DEWA together, never below 1000dhs a month, this is for me in a one bed. Emicool service poor and quick fixes. Serve U does maintenance, not great. Now new fees charged to secure the Serve U crew "day passes" to the buildings, although they are here anyway, 100dhs starting charge. Gate charges for maids and cleaning companies has also been implemented in the last week or so, companies doing cleaning not allowed into Motor City unless they pay the "day passes".
Doors to get access to building randomly works.
A great place for location and traffic, but other than that, a lot of issues.
Overpriced for poor quality.

The district cooling company
Awesome place to live in especially with kids. And during winter you can just stay in the community and barely use your car. All basic needs are available walking distance including pharmacies, clinics, supermarkets and recently within 5 minutes drive schools. I greatly recommend the place for families as the rooms are huge, store available (perfect to store your kids toys ) and lots of greeneries and playgrounds.

Positives
The terrace and community design
Negatives
Paper thin walls and screaming infants.
I moved to a Newbridge Hill because of the community and size of the apartment. Newbridge Hill has great terraces which add an outdoor garden feel to an apartment. Community set up is nice and promotes an afternoon walk. Very pet friendly community and nice people around. Big Spinneys is a great plus point. Road access is fantastic and gives you travel route alternatives. The big minus for me is the noise from neighbors, paper thin walls and I get woken at all hours by next doors screaming children. I can hear everything in my bedroom and lots of thumping and banging from upstairs. If it wasn't for this issue I would buy into the community but I won't pay to have my sleep disturbed. Such a shame.

Maintenance and cleanliness
In general I love Motor City, everyone seems to think it is "far" out but in truth 25 mins takes me to work with little to no traffic lights, flowing traffic and no salik! I also have two dogs and have generally found Motor City very dog friendly. A couple of years back we tried to get a dog park to keep everyone happy (owners need to take responsibility to pick up their dogs dirt), but a dog park would sort this out. UP who look after the buildings and gardens are USELESS, I have lived here for just over 2 years now and the standard of maintenance is awful and there has been a decline in the gardening and cleaning in the last 6 months. For such a lovely place it would be a real pity to see it slide into disrepair and lack of cleanliness and tidiness.

Positives
Space inside & outside
Negatives
Noise from neighbours upstairs
Motor City is a great community, very green and suitable for singles, families and pets. Apartment is a great size, with good finishing, and great outdoor space. Only downside is there is absolutely no sound-proofing between the apartments and we have had issues with the people staying above us. One of the best apartments I've seen, but rents are spiralling out of control and residents are getting nothing extra to justify the increases. Other issue is Emicool - ridiculous standing charge with absolutely no justification, makes a/c almost as expensive as rest of DEWA.
