Oud Metha

Due to the area rent is high compared to the size of apartment. Here apartments are so costly and those which suits our pocket are small. Living with toddlers need space.

The location of Oud Metha makes it very central. Oud Metha provides excellent connectivity to Dubai-Al Ain Road (that further leads to Business Bay, Dubai Festival City, Silicon Oasis, Academic City), Dubai-Abu Dhabi Road (leading into Dubai World Trade Center, DIFC, Dubai Mall, MOE and further to Ibn Batuta), Dubai-Hatta Oman road (leading to Dragon Mart) and ofcourse into Downtown Dubai. Oud Metha hosts several restaurants serving a variety of cuisines, several schools like Indian High School, Dubai Gem, Dubai English Speaking School, etc, hospitals like American Hospital and a neighborhood mall, Lamcy plaza that caters to the residents daily requirements. Oud Metha consists of residential, commercial and office spaces. The area also has its own metro station called "Oud Metha Metro Station". The area is yet less noisy and maintains its exclusivity. High recommended for families.

The location of my apartment ideal, American Hospital, pharmacy, schools and mall is on walking distance. The problem which I am facing is the building entrance where waste drums are present 24x7. All restaurants are dumping their waste which causes a bad smell when passing through that passage. Basement parking is not for every one, kitchen is spacious but having cabinet made of Tin where rusting started after 6 months. Building is very old but the rents are same as other buildings in this area.

Been living here for the past 4 years. Started off as a bachelor pad and been living here with my wife for the past 2 years now. Love the ambience of Reem, have had hassle free neighbours, good maintenance and love the view of the Burj Khalifa ever morning. Most specially enjoy the fireworks display every 31st of December and having our friends over to celebrate the nite on ours.

This a a posh locality and you will find all types of people here, good thing about this locality is there are many restaurants around and walking distance away. Approximate 22 to 23 Saloons and Parlours, 20 to 25 Restaurants, Indian, Arabic, Italian and so on...! 4 to 5 Super markets: All within 200 meters Suggestion: As far as building is concerned, it has all the facility but they should keep it clean all the time and I have seen people sitting near the entrance of building and leaving dirty glasses near the entrance after having tea

I moved in the building in December 2012.The Apartment is spacious and well laid out. It is in close proximity to Healthcare City, Karama, Bur Dubai and Deira on one side and Sheikh Zayed Road and Downtown on the other side. Dubai Inernational Airport is just 10 min away. Drive to Al Ain is a pleasure as I can connect from here directly on the same from here. Lamcy Plaza Mall offers all the shops and Al Maya supermarket for Day to Day needs, Icare Clinic is inside the Lamcy Plaza mall as well. Chilis, Moti mahal, Sai Dham, Q's cuisine, Baguette Express, Pizza Company, juice corner, Egg Cafe, Punjabi By Nature and many other restaurants are on walking distance. American Hospital is walking distance. The building is strategically placed in the heart of Oud Metha. What we miss in the building has been highlighted in the ratings above. Difficult to find an apartment in this building.

I would like to overall give 4.5 star to the flat currently I am staying in. Area is superb...not too crowded nor too quiet. Very convenient to metro, shopping malls and restaurants . The building I stay in its rooms are very huge like king size, very big balcony, amazing view from terrace. All my friends and families who ever have visited this flat have loved it.

This building is close to Oud Metha Metro station, neat and clean place. I stayed here for 3 years, flats are spacious, balcony have either roadside view or garden view. My recommendation to go for higher floors.

It is the best location we lived in for the past 7 years. The best real estate we ever transacted with. Fast repair service. Hallway and parking lot is maintained and cleaned everyday by the watchman. It is situated in the heart of the city, center to all places we usually go or work to in Dubai - 15minutes away to Bur Dubai for Bank transactions, 15minutes away from Deira, 5mins away from Dubai Mall via Al-Ain road, 20minutes walk to Zabeel park. Has accessible mode of transportation anytime - bus and taxi. If I feel bored in the house, I can go to spa, shop at Lamcy, eat at assorted restaurants around or just use the gym, sauna and swimming pool. Always safe to walk even at 2am in the morning. Police visibility every 20minutes.

The area surrounding the apartment building is a very calm area, with several Schools surrounding (GEMS, Alliance Francaise,…). There are equally 2 Hotels in the area (Dunes Hotels and Apartments and Movenpick Hotel), where we can go to have a dinner or a drink. The area is very close to Healthcare city and in Oud Metha there is the American Hospital. Oud Metha is a good area to live for people wanting to live on the new side of the creek, not willing to pay the big amounts you pay in Downtown Dubai, Dubai Marina, JLT and others, with close access to the WAFI mall, 10 minutes drive to the Dubai Mall, Deira City Centre, 5 minutes drive to Burjuman. The apartment itself is new as the building is open for inhabitants since April 2014. In the beginning we had some fixtures that had to be done on parts of the infrastructure (which is normal with new buildings), right now everything is fine. There is a rooftop pool, but nothing special as not practical and too small. There is a gym, but very limited in amount of equipment and the equipment that is there is rather more of the lower quality. The apartment where we are living has 2 bedrooms, 3 toilets of which 2 toilets in the 2 bathrooms (1 bathroom with shower, and 1 with a bath). Not so much light is coming into the apartment as it is situated to the West, so some sun/light towards the evening for 1 hour max. The people in the building are all friendly educated people working in the area. It is a place I would recommend in case you want to pay less rent, be close to the beginning of Sheikh Zayed Road and with close access to the Dubai Creek.

I have lived in this building for 2 years now and have just renewed for a third year. The building is owned by Deyaar properties and the maintenance is amazing with a 24 hr call center or the ability to lodge a complaint online. The people in the building are mostly families and I feel very safe living here. There is hardly any traffic in the area and plenty of schools in the area for parents. The only downside is that all the outside parking is paid but tenants get underground parking for free. The apartment size is also huge with a very large living room, separate kitchen, 1 and a half bathrooms and a spacious bedroom with an in built closet.

Very happy with location, facilities and amenities and surrounding

We are happy with this place; it's near our children's school, near the church, near commercial areas, walking distance to a park and restaurants. We just hope the rent doesn't go up that steeply soon.

Since we were looking for a flat not too large and difficult to maintain, AND we have a dog, this apartment suited our needs perfectly. Though a one-bedroom, it is spacious and has a great view. Our decently-sized balcony overlooks two swimming pools. Despite being right next to the main road (Wafi and the Healthcare City are across the road from us) the noise levels are amazingly low. A clean, regularly-maintained and safe area for any small family to live in, our building is one I will highly recommend.

Oud Metha is a great place to be in, if you want to be centrally located. It has direct access to Bur Dubai, Deira and well as SZR. Quiet and well maintained community. A little more expensive to live in as compared to neighboring areas like Bur Dubai and Karama, but absolute value for money. We live in a spacious 1000 sq feet 1 BHK with a lovely balcony, which we have converted into our green space. Our building, Hessa Home has a great layout. We're also blessed with an additional guest bathroom. Ample space for the two of us (my husband and I). The area is a mix of different communities, Westerners, Indians and Arabs. Ample space around buildings to jog, walk pets, etc. Hospitals, schools and restaurants are all walking distance. For shopping, Lamcy Plaza is the best bet. Feeder buses from the metro station link all of Oud Metha. I love my house and locality, and its lovely to come back to this after a long tiring day at work.

We stay in a 3 bedroom apartment in Oud Metha behind Lamcy plaza. It is very spacious with large balconies. Location is great due to easy access to various places. However public transport like metro and bus are a bit far. No big gardens close by for fresh air. But is is a very safe area with so many restaurants of different cuisines to select from.
