We have to shoulder all the maintenance expenses
We are staying in this apartment for more than 10 years now. Even though the building is a bit old an there's an increase in rent every year we still prefer to stay and still recommend it to others. It is accessible to all - you name it, Restaurants, more… Hospital, Mall, Grocery Stores and even Police Station :-)Show less

Positives
Security, Orderly

A bit crowded
So far the management is strict in imposing some rules. Most of the time the decision is vague like you are not allowed to cook barbecue at the rooftop since there was a fight broke up and they mess there. The guards are available 24/7 so we feel safe.

Gym
One of the oldest buildings in this neighbourhood, it sure doesn't look like it! It's quite well maintained, has a pool, is still a clean blue and white finish and has friendly staff. The gym is poorly equipped and needs a revamp and I wish I had a bit of more… a better view, but other than that my parents got a good deal moving in about 20 years ago! Show less

Silverhome Apartments is a very well maintained building with spacious rooms & balcony with view of the city. Very close to the airport, Abu Hail metro & bus stop. All other amenities like shopping centres, restaurants, hospitals, banks, hotels, park, mosque, spas etc. are all within 5 minutes walking distance.

Positives
Amazing Location

Fussy Maintenance Staff
Abu Hail Residencies is surrounded by a Shopping center, a masjid, a park, restaurants and a supermarket. Situated very close to the Metro, right behind the Abu Hail Center, it stands in the middle of a very homely neighborhood giving convenient access to all the needs that a tenant is more… looking for. A superbly designed swimming pool along with a gym to suite your needs makes it a heaven at home. Maintenance is reasonable with cleaning services working around the clock and A/C, Plumbing, Electricity & Carpentry services included with a minimal fee.Show less

Positives
Spacious sunny apartment, close to the metro
Negatives
Lousy maintenance and no swimming pool
Apartment in Abu Hail: very good location (in front of Canadian Specialist Hospital), metro at 350m (walking distance), small supermarkets and shawarma-type restaurants arround, the building is neat with good finishigs, neighbours are ok, the apartment is bright and sunny despite the views of the building next door (quite small more… distance between the buildings). Very spacious: both living room, bedroom, 1.5 bathroom and kitchen; gym is ok - not great - but miss having a swimming pool in the building. The parking is covered and it's on first-come-first served basis (one day you may get a tight space to park, but next day you can get a nice and wide parking space). The only disadvantages: maintenance and security are lousy; for maintenance - although fixing stuff is free, it may take from 2 days to 2 weeks and from 2 to 20 phone calls for them to come and fix something; as for the security - the security guard is not always there. Overall, a nice apartment and a good value for money (as per the prices in 2014).Show less

View
in general abu hail area and specifically ( al mamzar centre) where I live is a quiet neighborhood, friendly, and safe. I hate the view, it is overlooking the main street, the one where all sharjah cars come to dubai from, the noise is constant day and night with the more… sound of the speeding cars, a lot of maintenance. my apartment view is awful, it's facing a while block, something very depressing to look at. not all flats are overlooking the white block from the next building though ,I'm just not lucky . Price compared to other flat with the same size is considered very acceptable and there is washing room, which allows you to keep things tidy. Room size is very convenient, bathrooms however are very small and bath tab is designed for a teenager! Kitchen is considered less the medium, and there isn't enough cabinets to keep things in. the maintenance is dreadful and the A/C keeps stops cooling every 4 months at max. the maintenance people are very rude and slow. the security is OK, they don't bother me at all. there is a good access to the Canadian specialty hospital, supermarkets, pharmacies, stationary shop, bakery, normal restaurants and cafeterias . the building is close to Century mall by car like 10 minutes, no traffic from where I live, but century mall is congested. 15-20 minutes by car to Ghurair centre. and around 20-30 minutes driving to Dubai Festival. the good thing about the location is it's very close to Gharhoud, so you are in the middle, you don't actually have to endure the traffic jam coming from Sharjah.
