Positives
Exclusive feel of the buildings and the location for everything including easy access/egress.
Negatives
Nothing was really that bad, hopefully the wasted space at the Marina side will be landscaped some day.
This 2 tower development has been around for a few years now but is a well looked after. The apartment came with home automation which was sometimes problematic. I ended up just using the manual mode and dimmer switches. The best thing about the apartment is the size. I was very spacious and had twin balconies meaning I didn't need to rush to put my laundry drier away when friends turned up. At first I didn't appreciate the views, but the pool view from my low floor apartment was very tranquil. Out on the balcony there is a bit of din coming from JBR and traffic noise, but we have to be realistic and realise this is essentially city living.
Location is second to none. All the public transport options are right there. Tram stop, bus stop, taxis and the metro can be reached in 15 minutes by foot. Getting out the marina by car is just the best. You have 2 choices for fast exits both of which involve one traffic signal (soon the right turn exit will be straight out with no traffic signal). Coming home at night can involve a wait however since the completion of the tram construction this wait is seriously reduced. Living further into the marina is much worse as you are held up at every junction.
Option for eating and drinking within walking distance are mind blowing. The new Beach Village is amazing, add on top of this the JBR Walk restaurants and the collection of 4 and 5 star hotels all only a few metres away. Bar options are also the best in the Marina with so many to choose and all walkable. Live music and entertainment is also on hand and late night eating options.
I especially enjoyed the location for my morning walks. The beach is right there. Walking in the marina in summer mornings can be a bit warm, but you have the option to walk through the street and the JBR Walk to stay in the shade. A winter morning walk down the marina and back up the beach to The Jewels is what it's all about. That's when you realise that you don't just live in a busy city, but you also live on an island with amazing beach and views. Try taking the waterbus across to the Mall and get a taste of island life with a twist.
Facilities inside the building are more than adequate. The pool is an ideal shape for swimming laps and it gets the sun for a few hours every day. In the summer it also enjoys the setting sun on the water. The gym has a decent selection of machines and weights. I have never used the steam or sauna as I don't see the point with the climate. There are not many apartments in The Jewels, so nothing is ever crowded. No big queues to enter or exit the parking, which takes a bit of care at first. No lengthy waits for lifts. Overall this has a feel of a little bit of exclusivity. Been here for a few years and my friends prefer to come to me then me go to them on the mainland parts of the marina.

Positives
2 min from the Beach, easy to reach from Sheikh Zayed road (literally on the exit)
Negatives
Noisy (but mostly because of the street view and 3rd floor, other apts might be better)
The apartment is great in terms of
-Convenience: On the exit 29, you avoid all the traffic of the Marina; furthermore, now the new tram is working pretty well
-Possibility to walk: One of the few areas in Dubai where you can actually walk in a decent environment
-Proximity to the Beach (beach and services)
On the minus side:
- Noisy and not a great view: this is also because of low floor / street - pool view, so some apartments might be better placed here
- Electricity / light issues: some lights simply do not work, and internal maintenance was not able to solve the issue. This is a minor issue as main lights work, but worth mentioning.

Positives
Space of the flat
Negatives
Traffic
We have lived in these towers now for 4 years. The postive things are that the flats have an excellent layout and are very large. The fittings are of a high quality, the building is very well maintained and the bonus is that we have 3 decent balconies. 1 large enough to have a bbq with around 10-12 people. It is also not so crowded at this end of the marina and you can quickly exit out to Sheikh Zayed without going through the marina traffic. The convenience of nearby supermarkets etc is great including home delivery options. Kids can go biking etc around the marina.
There are also not too many flats which means you do not need to wait for lifts very long and pool etc is never overcrowded.
The negative is that the traffic can be terrible when coming into the marina and to get into the car park you have to do a U turn which adds to the traffic problems. The car park is also not well designed and is very narrow to get in and out but you do get used to that. Behind the building they have been promising a park which is still not there! The service charge can be very high including the AC costs.
Overall a very well constructed building in the marina - it is expensive though.
