Motor city as a community is very good, however maintenance is expensive. No outside technicians are allowed with them as a registering with UP with a security deposit. So companies providing service inside the community have a hiked-up price, a monopoly. Schools are close but not so in-expensive. Pools are well maintained. Love the community overall. This appt in specific has lots of maintenance issues. AC doesn't cool, one of the electric gas station stopped working, washing machine was to be repaired but we ended up buying a new one as owner refused to repair. He owner was good enough to change the water heater. There are mosquito issues in this house as there's a drainage outlet right outside the balcony. I assume that causes this as well as because its ground floor. Washbasins should be repaired as water leaks. Balcony has a black smoke patch which I assume the previous tenant left and so it looks ugly. No maintenance contract included along with the rental so all maintenance expenses are on the tenant. Appt is good to live with these petty issues and occasional heavy bills. But this appt is very close to the metropole school and to the football ground in the community, so happy with this..

Motor City is a safe and friendly neighborhoud. Young families are drawn to this area. There are children everywhere and there are ample parks, swimming pools and paths for scooters and bikes. Walking distance to supermarkets and lots of amenities. Truly a gem of an area.
