The Villa review, June 2014

Positives
Size of the villa
Negatives
Distance, constructions
Long drive from the city, and it also takes time to get into the community from the main roads. Location inside the community is important, some parts are finished, but many villas still under construction, so it can be dusty and noisy. Nice villa, large living and family room, good kitchen. Swimming pool more… in the garden is very good, because there is no common pool.Show less

Positives
Huge villa with lots of space, friendly neighborhood, good price
Negatives
No shops and restaurants open yet, have to drive everywhere
We moved here from Springs, and the main reason was: we could get a 5 bedroom villa for almost the same price as our 3 bedroom townhouse. Of course we had to sacrifice living in a completed community, but so far we are all happy with our choice. The community more… is right on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed road, so getting in and out is very easy, but the area is still quiet. We never lived in a villa of this size, so I can't compare to anything similar, but we simply love the extra rooms and space we have here. Show less

Positives
Safe, family friendly community
Negatives
Basically I liked our villa in the Springs, although it didn't feel brand new, and the rooms upstairs were a bit small. But the kids loved to hang out with their friends, and I liked the safe environment. Springs 12 is on the backroad of Springs, so it is very quiet, more… but takes a little longer to get in and out.Show less

Positives
Quality of the apartment
Negatives
Nowhere to walk
We really liked living in Ubora tower, mainly for the apartments exceptional quality. Our apartments was well designed, with good quality finishings, and some high-tech extras. We had a huge balcony, with open view towards Al Khail road and Meydan racecourse. There were some constructions, but the soundproofing was very good, more… and the apartment was always quiet. Except for some weekend nights, as one of our neighbors loved to have parties, and the noise came through the corridor. The pool is nice, but I found the gym too small for a tower this big. There is a small supermarket under the building and a few restaurants. For everything else we drove to Executive Towers or Dubai Mall, as both are very close. I can recommend this tower to anyone who likes good quality and location, but doesn't need green surroundings and walking possibilities.Show less

Good layout and size for a 1 bedroom. Street view was OK, but a bit noisy because construction. (Other side of building has better view.) Some of the allocated parking spaces are not covered.

Positives
Location and quality of the building
Negatives
Brilliant location, as it is DIFC but you can walk across a street to Sheikh Zayed road in 2 minutes. The building meets high standards and so does the apartment. The Sheikh Zayed road view is simply breathtaking. Only small problem is the limited public parking spaces for guests.

Perfect location, but traffic can be difficult sometimes, especially at the Sheikh Zayed road exit. My apartment faced towards Business Bay, which basically means a construction view. Some ads call this "lake view"... The building has supermarket, laundry, restaurants, etc. on the ground floor, which is very convenient.

Finishing, kitchen feels old
We moved here from Sporty City with my husband almost half year ago. The big difference is that Motor City is a completed community. Here are no constructions only nice parks with different pool areas, and you can walk to all the cafes and shops inside the community. Our 1 bedroom more… apartment overlooks a nice park, and it is surprisingly quiet. The finishing is not the best, especially in the bathrooms, and the kitchen cabinets and equipments feel a bit old. However the kitchen and the whole apartment is large and the layout is good. A great thing is the extra storage room next to our underground parking space. Getting to town is easy as Motor City is right between Umm Suqeim road and Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid road. I would recommend Motor City to young couples and families who are looking for a reasonably priced apartment in a nice green area.Show less

Positives
View, gym and pool
Negatives
No supermarket, many constructions
We lived in Elite residence 4 in 2013 with my husband, and we found it a good option for a reasonably priced 1 bedroom. The building was brand new at that time, it was well maintained, and the gym-pool area on the roof was large and well equipped. The apartment's layout more… was ideal for us, and we had an amazing golf course view from the balcony. Other Elite buildings have different views, but Elite 4 is right next to Victory Heights. I think Sports City will be a really nice area in the near future but it still needs development, most importantly a supermarket. There are many buildings under construction, which can make the area a bit noisy and dusty sometimes. But traffic is OK, as it takes about 3 minutes from the building to the Hessa street flyover on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid road. Could recommend to anyone, who wants a nice apartment for a good price, and doesn't mind driving everyday. Show less

Positives

Negatives
Limited choice of shops and restaurants nearby
Our 3 bedroom apartment in Shoreline apartments is perfect for families with small children. The layout is good, master bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and large bathroom. The two other bedrooms are smaller and without en-suite bathrooms, so it might become a problem with teenage children. Guest parking can be tricky on more… the Palm, and Shoreline 14 has a big advantage as it is right next to a large public parking area. Downside is, as it is on the left side of the Palm, we have to cross the street to access the swimming pool and beach area.Show less
